On behalf of the leadership of Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP) and our church, Christ, the Living Stone Fellowship (CLSF), I greet LIVING WATERS PHILIPPINES a BLESSED AND VICTORIOUS 20TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Pastor Benji Cruz and his wife, Sister Hazel, and the leaders and members of Living Waters Philippines have been such a blessing to the Body of Christ and to many people who need healing for their souls for the past two decades.

Your theme: “Dalawang Dekada ng Paghilom: Heal the Church, Heal the Nation” is very appropriate and powerful specially in our times today! The call to heal the broken-hearted is the very preamble of the mission of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, as He declared, in the very beginning of His public ministry, what the Prophet Isaiah prophesied in Isaiah 61: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord” (Luk 4:18-19). After declaring His mission, the very first miracle that He did was the healing of a demon possessed man in Capernaum (Luke 4: 31-37). This miracle was like the floodgate that powerfully released the living waters of healing to the multitudes including the mother-in-law of Simon Peter, one of His closest disciples (Luke 4:38-41).

The call to proclaim the gospel and to heal was not intended by the Lord Jesus to be confined to Himself alone. He commissioned the 72 to prepare the way for Him and go to the cities He intended to minister telling them: “And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.”(Luk 10:8-9). The Lord has given us the Holy Spirit to be able to minister to healing to others as He promised: “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” (Joh 7: 38). Finally, in the Great Commission, the Lord Jesus commanded the disciples to preach the gospel to every creature and promised them: And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mar 16:15-18). After the Lord ascended to heaven, the disciples took heed and preached everywhere, the Lord confirming the word with signs following! (Mark 16: 19-20).

The healing ministry that began in Galilee was commissioned by the Lord to touch the nations of the world! In our present time, with this unprecedented pandemic of the virus, fear, and paranoia, even more that this healing ministry is needed! May the Lord grant you the abundance of His grace as you continue to bring healing to the church and the nation! A BLESSED 20TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
